High Country Computer Services announces dates for our Second Annual Electronic Recycling Collection Event.

In January 2011 High Country Computers was proud to host our first Electronic Recycling Collection Event where we collected almost FOURTEEN THOUSAND POUNDS of unwanted e-waste. 

Often electronic components contain contaminants such as lead, cadmium, beryllium, or brominated flame retardants. Ensuring these materials remain out of our landfil and watersupply is a goal of us here at High Country Computers. 

On January 21, 2012 we will host our second collection event and are hoping to break last year's collection amounts.  This years collection event will be held in front of our retail store located in the 'Riverwalk at Edwards' in Edwards Colorado from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Our friends at Metech Recycling will be on hand to transport all collected e-waste to thier recycling facility in Denver where all material will be demanufactured in a safe, environmentally friendly manner.  For a list of examples of items that can be accepted for recycling please visit the metech website here.  Also please feel free to view the list of items they cannot accept here.
