15 January 2011, Electronic Recycling Collection Event
On 15 January High Country Computer Services
held a recycling collection event at our retail store in Eagle.

The event was a huge success collecting
almost 14,000 pounds of recyclable e-waste completely filling two
box trucks. Based on prior collection events we expected
between eight to ten thousand pounds, enough to fill one truck.
By 11:00 the Metech employees had to call their contact in Denver to
request another truck as the first one was almost full already.

By the time the event closed at 3:00, only six hours after it started we had collected 13,764 pounds of electronics. This is a large number especially considering the size of our town.
